I believe that was the case for Please Please Me, MMT and Mono Masters, all the others were straight from the original tapes

MMT is the only one I have. I find it impossible to put the record back in the cover as it’s so tight. We’re they all like this?

Stick that sucker in a MoFi sleeve behind the jacket in the outer sleeve. Done.

There only ever was one pressing so they have been out of print since the albums were originally released in 2014.

 This post and the other ranting at me cracks me up because it's taking what I wrote and essentially putting words into my mouth. It's not like you need these LPs like clothes, food, water or essential items. All the albums can be listened to and are readily available on cd and other sources. It's not something everyone would want either. So yes in that way a box set like this is most definitely a luxury item. And like I wrote before it was readily available for years and at good prices so really the saying you snooze you lose applies like anything else that has eventually become harder to get. What do you want me to say? That's just how it goes. :sigh:

Didn't you know all Lps are now considered high class luxury items? :)

If you think about it - box sets? Absolutely. Wings 1971-73.. that was downright disturbing for some CD's and a couple of books in a cheap cardboard box.

The people who price some of them clearly think so

Well, yes. There is one more thing. They’re mono. That appeals to a pretty limited group of fans which makes them much less likely to be repressed.

In answer to the OP's question 'Beatles vinyl..why so expensive now? I thought the answer is obvious. Lots of Hoffmanites have been buying 2-3 and more, copies of the LPs and Box Set and that is why there is a world shortage of Fab Four mono LPs.:agree::laugh::cry::cool::righton:

First off No. 6, I am the new number 2. No, that would be Dhani.
I am surprised to see my local store re-stocking the Mono White Album as of late. Makes me wonder if Apple ran a re-press of this to go along side the hype of the new mix. It could very well be new old stock but it’s been dry for month’s and then suddenly.....

I hate myself for ignoring these records when they came out back in 2014.
They cost an amount of cash nowadays. And I just don't wanna know how much the vinyl box set costs now...
Well, at least I could afford the mono Sgt. Pepper, White Album and Mono Masters over the time.^^

No, its in regular use in certain labs. They typically rebuild them to their own specs.

I think what the OP meant was that all the Beatles masters were copied to both digital files and analog tape, which I believe was the case, 30 ips tape in the analog domain.

Yep, so not saying they will release mono vinyl again but it is not out of the realm of possibility. That's just my thought.

Hey, at least you have a hi res mono transfer of the white album. They should have gone that route with pepper, but it didn't sound too bad at 16/44.1
