I love Beatles songs done by the group however their songs are recorded by so many that there are other versions that I prefer. Some of them are:

FOOL ON THE HILL- Sergio Mendes & Brazil '66
LONG AND WINDING ROAD- George Benson
WITH A LITTLE HELP FROM MY FRIENDS- Joe Cocker

Wondering what are some of your favorite Beatles songs that you've heard covered and who covered them?

Great version, sounds like it was recorded with London Symphony Orchestra during the sessions for PG1.

  12. Dionne Warwick did a bunch of Beatles songs but I can't remember them all.

U2- Helter Skelter, which started by saying:

'This is a song Charles Manson stole from the Beatles.
    We're stealing it back.'

Here's one I bet you guys haven't heard:

Bedtime With the Beatles: Instrumental Versions of Classic Beatles Songs - A Lullaby Album by Jason Faulkner. Yup. The same guy who bought you Jellyfish and The Three O'Clock gives you exactly what the title says: non ironic instrumental takes on a bunch of Beatles classics. It's marketed as a CD for babies and indeed my seven month old daughter loves it. She chills right out when we pop it in. It's fantastic for kids and adults alike. Faulkner shows a real understanding and real affection for these timeless classics. I really recommend it.

Steve: If you are on this thread this is a good thing to have for new borns.
    Sure beats Raffi....

    Cheers!

Awesome pick! I was wracking my brain for that one... I had "Rain" but couldn't remember the group. This one by Randy California and friends is outrageously good!
