Best Movie Party Ever

Of course we weren’t privy to it on screen, but the Hangover party must have been a doozy.

 

The new year's eve party in Trading Places.

 

Dazed and Confused. To me it's a much better movie than Animal House. Which, to be honest, for myself, was no longer amusing once I got out of adolescence.

 

"Hey. I'm the king of the jungle, baby!"

 

Just watched this again last week. Great movie.

 

Of your list, I love SOB. My favorite would be The Party starring Peter Sellers.

 

That movie had it all: chicks and guns and fire trucks and hookers and drugs and booze!

Animal House and Dazed. I'll get back to you in 2525 if I change my mind.

 

Two in Boogie Nights: one near the beginning where the camera follows the girl into the pool (during Spill The Wine), and one in the middle that ends with William H. Macy blowing his head off (during Do Your Thing by Charles Wright).

 

Good God. I watched the entire preview and I'm just barely convinced that it's serious.

It is serious, right? Right? Never heard of it before. Some party.

 

Old School....Frank the Tank lets loose!

 

Out of the chosen, I gotta say Animal House. It kicked off parties just like it, all over the country. I was in a small frat in college when the movie
came out. I saw hundreds of toga parties. I saw motorcycles up stairs. I saw kegs fly through windows. It was the greatest semester.

 

Family Ties had a party that escalated quickly in this episode. I think the kangaroo tries to kill Michael J. Fox at 1:47. Also, cameos of Chunk from Goonies and the psychiatrist from Terminator.

 

Warriors and the Lizzies... until it wasn’t

 

I've said it in another thread, but the ending of Animal House kinda ruins it for me now. Up to that point I still enjoy it though.

And yes, Dazed and Confused is probably my vote as it's pretty damn accurate to what I experienced not quite a decade later.

 

The Hangover.

 

The party scene near the end of THE WILD LIFE is the one I'll never forget.

It gets so out of control, Ron Wood (yes, that one) crashes through the wall into the apartment next door to lead a raid on their refrigerator for more "refreshments".

There's a party scene near the end of 9½ WEEKS, only that's more like the aftermath of a party.

Ron Wood is there too, slumped over a table. He rouses himself just enough to snort something off the table before the camera moves on. How did he get there? Simple, he was having a fling with Kim Basinger (not bad, eh?) at the time, so he wound up in her film.

 

Real Genius - Indoor Beach Party

 

The one that sprang to mind when I saw this thread was in “Weekend at Bernies”. Been a long time since I saw that, but I have a vision of him in the couch with a real rager going on all around him.

I voted for Dazed and Confused in the poll - another good one!

 

There was this party at Randy Newman's. I think it was a movie; memory hazy.



Aha, I see it was used in Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.

 

Must at least be a contender:

 

A party without Stiffmeister, isnt a great party.

 

I think any party with Do You Wanna Funk playing is a good party
