A "deep cut" from Roger Waters - the final encore on his In The Flesh live album. It popped up on my car hi fi yesterday and is just the right song for these times. Each Small Candle - Roger Waters
Country acts don't seem to get enough credit for good harmony. The Gatlin Brothers take care of that. It's probably in their DNA plus a lot of practice.
This come up in my feed Youtube feed today, it's a new group, but what a groove going on here. Is anybody 'gettin' this'??? Mind The Blimp - I Want You
"Love Her Madly" The Doors. Heard this at my local supermarket this morning. It was good to hear, put bit of a smile on my face.
I don't think I have had a chance to listen to anything today so far... I picked up my guitar for the first time in about a year, and three minutes later, I had to put it away again.... Che sera sera
Nice cover by Dwight Twilley and band in 1996 of Pete Ham's 1970 Badfinger song... "I Can't Take It"
I certainly have no intention of being a contrarian but for everything I listen to it is base on the album and songs are part of that context. Certainly there are better songs than others but to me they all fit as part of the hole. Anyway, enjoy as you will as that is all that is really important...
I've always liked the purists. The late Alvin Lee from Ten Years After on "Let It Rock". Might have to wait a moment for it to pop up.
There' s a number of versions of this song. But to my ears this is the best - when Van sings "I'm drunk today And I'm rarely sober " you know he really means it ! and when I heard him sing this classic folk song at a large open air concert some years ago - for those two lines - we were all drunk too .
