Yes, those post-Elvis, pre-Beatles years were more sanitized and most of its stars didn't make the adjustment to the "rock" era, but there were some winners that snuck in among the Brylcreem crooners, teen actors turned singers, and twist-a-thons. Post the standout songs, hits or non-hits, that redeem that time and prove that it should be more highly regarded among the years before and after.
I'll leave room now for someone else to contribute lol. Let's not forget there was some f.a.n.t.a.s.t.i.c. jazz produced between 1960 and 1962 as well!! I particularly love this recording....
