Just wondering what the best sounding version of this album is. Doesn't matter if it's original or a later reissue, I'm just looking for a great sounding copy.

I had a white vinyl pressing I wish I would have kept, no other version sounds as good to me, not that I've tried that many.

I have numerous copies including the 80's MFSL , an original U.K. pressing, an original U.S. pressing and seventies Japanese and German pressings. If you're talking vinyl, even though the 2012 re-issues got some mixed reviews, I'd definitely go with that one for LIB. The low end is richer and smoother than on any of my other copies combined with a nice, percussive high-end (though not overly done). And again, if it's the vinyl you're referring to, try and track down an EU pressing. I replaced all my U.S. 2012's with EU pressings and they are VERY much quieter than the American ones done at rainbo.

Easy. Any Past Masters copy from any record store. Make sure it's the Remaster, though.

I have a 2nd press UK LP. It's pretty fantastic.

I have that too. I got it from a US seller last year for $30 shipped. It doesn't seem to be nearly as in demand as other UK Beatles albums.

Does anyone know what the sound quality is like for the green apple UK LIB in the parlophone jackets? If I'm not mistaken, this is an export 2nd issue?

45s and Past Masters are not the album Let It Be which is explicitly what the OP asked about. Does anyone read?

Did you replace the 2012 let it be as well? I suppose that's the easiest for me to track down where I live. I have my eye on a UK press with the blue green apple on the back. It seems like I've heard the sound quality on those are pretty good. Any opinions on that one? Thanks for your suggestions!

I still enjoy my german Apple (062...) pressing with A-1 / B-1 matrixes. I never heard any other version...is the UK a huge different experience or am I fine with my german LP ?

Yes. I've replaced all of them. If you are a fan of vinyl albums the effort in finding EU copies is well worth it. a few stores which carry records these days have EU pressings (they will have a sticker on the back saying, "made in west germany"). I got Rubber Soul and The White Album from, of all places, Barnes and Noble.

Weren't the 2012 stereo vinyl pressings (all of them, including the EU) cut from the CD masters from the 2009 reissue campaign? If you really want it, don't spend more than what you'd pay for the 2009 remastered CD. Ain't worth it.
