Yeah. It wasn't possible for Vol. 4 since they didn't find the multi tracks for all songs. That's why Wilson has only remixed outtakes for the album.
It's got an unreleased Dio-era show. You buy it, it's an unplanned reaction. It will be incredible, get over it!!
I would have loved that, especially if the mixes and masterings were good. But I am pretty sure this release means that such an expanded Live Evil release will not happen.
Pure speculation, but presumably this means they were multitracking in Portland since the next two nights in Seattle were part of what was used for Live Evil. But then they didn't use any of Portland in the final album.
I’ll stick with the previously reissued editions. I’m 98-99% certain mine aren’t counterfeit, but not 100% certain lol.
Just watched the Heaven and Hell Radio City show on YouTube last week and loved it. You guys that have the 2010 CD Mob Rules Deluxe, how is the sound quality of the Hammersmith show? It sounds like the Portland show is slightly above bootleg quality.
So no chance this is AAA vinyl right? Would love a top notch copy of Heaven and Hell. Its one of the first rock records i loved as a kid in the early 80s. Played it all the time and still think its great.
Have to say the extras are rather meh. I pass on Heaven and Hell but may bite on Mob Rules CD for the Portland show
This looks very interesting. Although it’s caused me many debates with Ozzy purists , Heaven and Hell is easily my favorite Black Sabbath album. It just seemed more mature, dark, and potent compared to their previous releases and still holds up today.I welcome a fresh look with some bonus material and most importantly it just might lead some new fans to appreciate its charms.
i don't understand the release of these new deluxe cd's when the 2010's are still readily available and have nice mastering. I'm all in for the new deluxe vinyl.
Has anyone seen the vinyl up for pre-order anywhere other than Rhino? I see that Amazon has Heaven and Hell, but Mob Rules is nowhere to be seen.
I have 221 shows and I've never heard it. It's actually nice to have, cos there's relatively few (good, complete) shows on the Mob Rules tour (more so than any other, except maybe Cross Purposes and Black Sabbath). So this is something of worth. But maybe give it to us on a separate release, or at least not spread awkwardly across two discs?
If the quality of the live shows was really good I would be in. I didn't like what I heard on the Heaven & Hell clip 0n headphones. Board feeds usually and up irritating me. I have so many LP and CD copies of these 2 albums already... and Live Evil. And I have so many other albums by other bands to obtain. I guess it's not a priority for me right now but who knows I usually get a couple of beers into me late at night and end up ordering this stuff!
Does anyone know what the story is with some (or all) of the Live Evil gigs being filmed as well? IIRC Dio mentions this in some of the in-between song banter on the album and I never really thought much of it until a bit of this footage showed up (I think?) as a teaser on a Russian bootleg DVD release of some other gig...but I don't think the full thing surfaced. So, were these gigs shot on video or 35mm film? Is this stuff in the Warner vaults, and if so, how did the Russian bootleggers get their hands on it, and also if so, wouldn't this be ideal for some kind of Blu-Ray release?
