This is probably a daft question but what is a Spaceship pressing that I keep hearing about?

Vertigo went from a Swirl label from 1969 to a "spaceship" looking label by 1975-ish. I'm too lazy to post a pic but if you Google Vertigo spaceship, you'll see what I mean.

Ah got it now, thank you. I have seen that label quite often but spaceship never entered my mind when seeing it. The first thing my brain thinks when seeing it is "a green valley and sky but upside down". :D It's probably my weird brain. :D

I have a U.K. Spaceship label and it sounds awesome!

So I’m a big sabbath fan. I have a vertigo swirl and NEMS pressing of paranoid both of which are in ok, but not perfect condition. I’m wanting to get a good playing copying of this (so max £30) what would people recommend? I am tempted by the new box set but it seems very expensive.

How is 30£ max if youre looking at the box? I say just look for any later pressing still using the UK stampers like a WWA. Should get a nice one for that money.

What he said, just be sure it uses the Vertigo instead of later Nems plates.

Thank you. Are the newer reissue’s any good?

Depends, there are many. But in general the cheap ones are just okay.

I'm relatively new to Black Sabbath but my 2015 Sanctuary LP pressing (European) is without fault, very quiet noisefloor and certainly recommendable.
