Bob Dylan SEALED LP - Blonde on Blonde - w/ Hype Sticker - Columbia Stereo 1966 | eBay
I'm suspicious about a 54-year old album that looks in such pristine condition, complete with hype sticker and shrink-wrap. None of the albums I bought in the 1960s or 1970s here in England came in shrink-wrap. What do people think about the authenticity of this album?

I bought my original copy of "Blonde On Blonde" from Johnny Roadhouse's record shop in Oxford Road, Manchester. It was the first time I'd seen a double LP, and the extra £1 it cost over a single LP meant I spent every penny I had on me and had to walk home with it instead of getting the bus! It was worth it...

Hype sticker? Never seen it for BoB. 54 years old in shrink wrap, eh?

I'm not buying it and I'm not buying it.

Looks real to me, too. If you just google "Blonde On Blonde hype sticker" you'll get a bunch of results for copies with the sticker/shrink and their sales history.

Yep, there's a bunch under that search term - some with all the songs listed like on the auction item:

Nice to see you here, Alan.

I have seen this hype sticker before, on American copies of Blonde on Blonde. The U.K. didn’t seal LPs back then, but the United States did. I have no reason to doubt the authenticity of this particular copy.

Corners are well worn too. I think it's legit but that's a lot cash!

LPs came in sealed bags as well on the copies I've seen get cracked open for the first time. And the LPs were never fogged up like we sometimes see with plastic liner inners.
