Looks like Bono has a book coming out!

The book announcement was made today by Knopf EVP and Publisher, Reagan Arthur. 'SURRENDER' will be published in hardcover and ebook, and in audio by Penguin Random House, narrated by Bono.

 

Should be a good read

 

Trying to think what will be in the upcoming book that wasn't in the above books or Rolling Stone/Propaganda interviews or that Bono spoken intro thing with SOE. Or the dozen biographies, some written by close friends.

 

Indeed, Schwab isn’t the musician Schulze was.

 

Good point, I could be wrong, but it appears to be him telling his story through 40 songs that impacted him.

 

I have a feeling this will be so sanitized that the book will have a faint odour of Clorox.

 

I was expecting "I'm Bono, Dammit!"

From the age of about 12 years old, I've never felt comfortable asking or hinting for anything for my Christmas, and therefore I never did or do.......this might actually be the first year though where I have to be very clear with what I don't want for Christmas.

Bono will reveal with great humility and a sense of comedic pathos, almost apologetically, that it was he behind the creation of these 40 songs

Should have called it Bono - Vox Speak!

I kid about the '40' bit - it was for the haters .
I might be interested in the audio version of the book - if he attempts to sing all 40 songs! And get copyright approval with free reign on all 40! "Walk, walk, walk, on the water, walk with me, awhile?"

It could be good if he reins in his more pompous and egomaniacal side. I've never minded Bono.

 

Serious question : was Bono always perceived like that or was there a time when people started to think he was pretentious? I never cared too much about him so I just can't tell.

 

I’ve been into U2 since ‘87 and I feel like he had that rep even back then. The whole preachy thing. “Am I buggin you? Didn’t mean to bug ya”

 

Well apparently I am one of the few who doesn't mind Bono here lol so I will be checking this out
