I was thinking of my mom when I read this article. She got me hooked on Michael Connelly books 10 years ago. And she loves this show. Don’t Underestimate ‘Bosch,’ Quite Possibly The Best Binge On TV It’s wildly popular! But in my experience, it’s popular in like, a Grace & Frankie way: not at all on the radar of people who read recaps of Fargo and listen to podcast interviews with HBOshowrunners, but very much on the radar of your mom. You probably don’t know that your mom has set a reminder on her phone for when the new season premieres. And your mom’s right.
Just finished season 3, and they've already stocked the next season with storylines. This show is crazy good.
But with a non-PC, white male detective as the main protagonist the MSM just ignores this show. So sad.
Connelly...I have been a reader for, I believe, 17 years now...I really like his books and dig the characters...The TV series...I loved them! Mr. Titus is just great. So...talking about hifi gear, in my dreams, my stuff would be arranged in the same way, on a similar piece of furniture as seen in the image in post #8 ... Any info about "racks" similar to that one, good for our purposes, available on the market ? TIA.
If you read City of Bones, there are many references to Jazz music that both Bosch and Julia liked. Clifford Brown has quickly become a favorite since I love trumpet. Also, Miles Davis.
Or: a white male protagonist from a dysfunctional background, a single parent, with an understanding and protective lesbian boss and a black partner who is his moral compass...
Great, I have seen this on Amazon for a few years and wasn’t really tempted but after reading the thread am going to give it a go
This show single handily inspired me to start listening to jazz and restarted my love of listening to records after many years of abstinence. Since it premiered a couple of years ago, I've watched every episode twice, read several of the books and bought too many records mentioned in the show and book. Can't wait for season 4!
Looking forward to watching. One thing I thought might crop up from what iirc was the first episode of season 1 was when Bosch tossed a hat in a bin and a homeless guy picked it out. It was a shot that lingered longer and seemed to be of some importance. Maybe one day...
Yeah, I lasted three days, watched the last four back to back, it's just so good and so much going on, I think I may sit down and watch every episode again before before the next season,
Finished Season 4. Was not disappointed. Titus really inhabits the character. Some unexpected twists and first-rate acting all around. His relationship with Maddie rings true for this father of a teenage daughter.
