The title doesn't describe it very well, but what I'm trying to do is make a CD-R where the pre-track countdown portion (you know, -0:03, -0:02...) contains something besides silence. Manufactured CDs are often indexed so that studio chatter, count-ins, and other non-musical elements go here, and the music itself starts at 0:00 -- yet, the intro part is still part of the track, you just have to jog backwards to hear it. Is there a burning program that lets you do this?

You can with some programs and CD burners. So far, the only one i've found that will let you do this with ease is CD Architect.

You can also use EAC and re-edit the .cue file in notepad to schedule these countdowns during a program. It's the most difficult way to do it, but it's also high on control.
