I heard one in 2001, on 9/11 to be precise. It was on an album that Eek-A-Mouse was involved in, blowed if I remember which album. It had had an interesting review in the local paper. I gave it a listen in my local friendly record store--until I heard the words "the internet". I bought a Gary Lucas album instead.

 

One of the great American idiomatic words. It never offends when uttered by John Lee Hooker.

 

Word to the wise: Stay away from the recordings of Clifford "Pee Wee" Trahan.
