Rhyming slang. "Dustbin lid" = "kid"

Still don't like it in that song, though.

    Any multiple sibilant words.

They’re funny in a reverberant church though.

There is a song on Joe Jackson's Beat Crazy that repeats the n-word several times. It ruins the album for me.

When did McCartney ever do that? I can't think of any.

With a few exceptions, using "weep" means the songwriters trying too hard to be poetic or sensitive.

Lol at "moist towelette". That's what we used to sing for "Warm Leatherette"

Any song that rhymes the words “crazy” and “lazy”.
John Lennon, Eagles, Billy Joel are offenders that come to mind...

I may sound crazy but it’s totally lazy songwriting!!

UK singers who sing thin instead of thing. And strenth instead of strength. Weird.

How are you even supposed to sing along to "Comfortably Numb"?

I don't think Plebian is really good, in that song of Julie London's, but she makes it rhyme.

Lennon's fooking peasants is ok by me.

UK posters will remember this but when unheralded Scottish football team Inverness Caledonian Thistle beat champions Glasgow Celtic, a local newspaper used the headline:

Super Caley Go Ballistic, Celtic Are Atrocious.

    Top journalism!

I heard one in 2001, on 9/11 to be precise. It was on an album that Eek-A-Mouse was involved in, blowed if I remember which album. It had had an interesting review in the local paper. I gave it a listen in my local friendly record store--until I heard the words "the internet". I bought a Gary Lucas album instead. :D

One of the great American idiomatic words. It never offends when uttered by John Lee Hooker.
