Thunder Road & Moonshine Highway, (made for Showtime), or Thunder Road & Moonrunners. Moonrunners & The Dukes Of Hazzard, (the movie). Moonrunners was written & directed by Guy Waldron, who created the Dukes TV show. The show was based on the movie, but was even lighter fare & watered down for TV. The movie is based in part on the exploits of Jerry Rushing, famed NC moonshine hauler & part time stock car racer.
