Just when I think that I have a favourite CRB album, something from one of the other albums comes to my attention that changes my mind. For a spell, I once thought of Magic Door as the runt of the litter, and then I went back to it and it completely floored me. Same thing with Barefoot, it didn't immediately grab me, but here I am however many months later, and it continues to reveal new intricacies to me. This band just continues to deliver great albums every time out. Each album has it's own charms and flavour, but there is a cohesiveness to the entire catalogue that is really remarkable. From Tulsa Yesterday through Good To Know, the highs are really high, and the lows are few and far between. Finally saw these guys live in Vancouver last month and they played three songs that will likely be on the next album, I can't see that Servant of the Sun will disappoint.
