This would exclude collaborative releases (ie B.B. King, J.J. Cayle) or live recordings.

He's playing guitar and someone else is singing.

If I may suggest a different title:

Clapton solo songs in which he doesn't sing.

That could be construed as instrumentals

"Jingle Bells" (w/sampled vocals) on the Christmas album if that counts.

Not on an album, but the remix of "Inside Of Me" on the import single to "My Father's Eyes" has just the backing vocals w/o EC's lead. (Which, by the way, I like better than the album version on Pilgrim)

Would "Don't Know Which Way to Go" from the Rush Soundtrack work?? Apparently Eric Clapton plays on that one with Buddy Guy (who does the Vocals)..

I know EC has done stuff for a lot of other artists too (Elton John, Phil Collins, etc.) so, we'll just keep it limited to his solo albums.

ooh. Then maybe "It's Probably Me" from the Lethal Weapon 3 soundtrack might technically also work since I think Eric's playing on the entire album as well. But probably not what your really looking for...

The 1977 Hammersmith discs in the Slowhand deluxe set. Yvonne Elliman sings/plays acoustic on Can’t Find My Way Home. Marcy Levy takes a lead vocal and plays acoustic on Nobody Knows You When You’re Down and Out
