Westerns take up my top five, which suggests to me I should have a non-Western top five. But the top five are in this order:

The Good, the Bad and the Ugly
    High Plains Drifter
    The Outlaw Josey Wales
    For a Few Dollars More
Pale Rider and Fistful of Dollars tie for fifth

Man there are so many to choose from. Reading through this thread reminded me of some I haven't thought of in a while which I need to revisit.

    Favorites:
The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly
    Unforgiven
    The Outlaw Josey Wales
    Magnum Force
    Heartbreak Ridge

Didn't see The Dead Pool in anyone's lists...huh...

...plus an honorable mention for his score for Grace Is Gone, the first time he composed a score he had no writing, appearing or directing in, 2007.
Nominated for two Golden Globes, the latter shared with lyricist Carole Bayer Sager; one lost out to Atonement by Dario Marianelli (for Score) and one to Eddie Vedder's Guaranteed from Into The Wild (for Song).

Do you know what movies haven't been mentioned in this thread? Blood Work and True Crime. I suppose they belong in a 'worst of' thread.

Definitely one of the lulls in his career, but nowhere near the worst IMO. Blood Work in particular was pretty good.

Man, this is tough, I celebrate Eastwood's entire catalog, so my Fav 5 are always changing - but, here's my $0.02 for now:

    1. The Good, the Bad, & the Ugly (3-way gunfight at the end with that music - yes!)
    2. For a Few Dollars More (I enjoy the story in this one more than GBU)
    3. Gran Torino (old, grumpy Clint is always entertaining)
    4. Firefox (watched this countless times on cable back in the day)
    5. Any Which Way You Can ("Right turn Clyde!")

Remember seeing a advertisement poster for this film. Looked very James Bond, modern in 1982.

    Way too many to name.

Ones I always watch when they're on:

    The Eiger Sanction
    Escape From Alcatraz
    A Perfect World
    Firefox
    Unforgiven

This doesn't even get to other greats like Bridges of Madison County, Outlaw Josey Wales, Bronco Billy, Honkytonk Man, etc.

He's a great director but I think that he lost it (for the most part) in the 2000's. I despise Flags Of Our Fathers, Mystic River, Million Dollar Baby (though I did like Letters From Iwo Jima)

I honestly can't choose just five. Even the ones that I wouldn't
watch over and over (Million Dollar Baby comes to mind) were
still masterful films for the most part.
