This is a zoomed-in version of the unedited first episode, if you want to find out.

  2. I hate to agree with this, but I think you're right. My wife and I used to record Conan religiously for years, skip most of the interviews, but loved all the rest.

And we really liked his Tonight Show, tons. But he was never the same on TBS. I tried a few times, but it just never clicked with me.

"He will also expand his online presence: O’Brien announced a new website in the works called “Conan 25,” with thousands of digitally remastered episodes of “Late Night” from 1993 until now." -The Washington Post

I saw Isla Fischer on Conan's show last night and, obviously had never seen her interviewed before. I would have sworn she was an American before last night. I've seen her in movies and she has an excellent American accent imo. When she started talking I thought she was putting on a British accent. It took me quite a while to fully deprogram and reprogram my brain that she's British.

Whatever happened to the new website containing Conan's past archive?

I’ve been wondering that, myself. I wonder if they hit a snag with NBC and licensing.

I'm not feeling the new 30 minute format. And seeing him in "casual" gear - still with a TIE - is just ridiculous.

BUT...he's also doing a podcast called "Conan O'Brien Needs a Friend" that is excellent, IMO. I laugh out loud more than any time since Late Night.

I remember Conan in Amsterdam with Ozzy sniffing tulips in 1997.

The time code was removed but it's the last minute of the video.

I love the podcast too! His interactions with Sona in particular are great.

I have a huge archive of old Late Night episodes and have really been enjoying the hell out of rewatching them. Much funnier, IMHO.

There was a lot of charm in being extremely limited budget-wise, being in a tiny studio, really late at night, where he could keep making fun of how everything sucked but now, it's a very different vibe. I miss Max Weinberg with his musicality and personality that was great with the show. Personally, I find Andy adds very little to the show, even though he's a great comedic mind in his own right.
