Sorry I haven't listened to the mofi.

I'm listening now το Art Pepper RSD mono and the bass does not bother me at all, I do not find it excessive. My amplifier works with the direct button pushed.

    This release is excellent.

The unfortunate thing is that I have already reached the limits of my financial capabilities.

Perfect? But, as blackearth pointed out, a sort of fading is noticable around 2m28s.

I don't hear any sort of fading. It must be my ears then.

It's an early aluminum CD. I played part of it last night for the first time in quite a while and wasn't impressed. Immediately noticed obvious left-channel distortion on "Move."

Then I put on the Craft. Not only did it sound pretty much the same as the CD, in terms of reverb or lack of it, it had the exact same distortion. Sounds like the same tape was used.

I still like the Craft LP. The MFSL just sounds like an early-digital version of the same thing.

Do other stereo releases have the distortion on "Move"?

My 1981 reissue has the same distortion as I hear on the Craft. Mic overload?

I held off buying Genesis of Genius for a while but the price dropped a bit and I scooped it up.

Top shelf package and 2 very nice LPs.

Such a big year for Ornette reissues!

Is + Eleven being sold from Amazon warehouses anytime soon? I just see private sellers having it.

Got my +11 last friday from Amazon. Absolutely perfect pressing and sounded fantastic, not a single pop, tick, crunch, etc. Dont have anything to compare to.

In the U.S., Amazon is selling it directly.
Are they not selling it in other countries yet?

For those that missed the Mono version, Plaid Room has listed additional copies.

I've enjoyed my OJC but when I put this one on I melted with a smile. This is why I bother with as good a system as I can manage. I almost cancelled my pre-order of the stereo "Meets The Rhythm Section" once I played the RSD mono but will leave it intact given how good +11 is.

Nope, which is strange. Usually at least Germany sells from their warehouse. Maybe this will only be allocated for US warehouses then.

Amazon UK has them, but the pricing algorithm isn't that generous today, ~£34, and not sure about shipping. But could be worth keeping an eye on, maybe?

Thanks for the heads up! Trying for a flat copy this time since Craft placed responsibility of the dish warps on local record stores.

Incredibly lame. They made the product and should stand behind it.

My copy of Art+11 had several big chunk of debris on the wax I had to sort of pry off with my thumb (wiping did nothing - don't worry, I was wearing gloves!) but thankfully, it didn't have any noticeable effect on the sound. Great sounding record, looking forward to the rest of them.

Which year/mastering is your OJC @JackG ? I'm thinking I'll keep my powder dry and save my money for something else.

So it seems like maybe one of their cost saving measures for this series is not using the glossy jacket slicks, but rather just your run of the mill tip on with a normal slick. Once again, BN Classics/80s are being put to shame… Again, by Craft.

Just got my +11 from Fedex, I’m impressed with the jacket and the record looks perfect, can’t wait to hear this!

In the UK, BN Classics are around £20, this Craft series £30; I'll take the Classics and save the tenner, if you're just talking jackets...
