The Baron is on Columbia Records 1958-1986 among other places. A Butterfly for Bucky is on the 36 All Time Greatest Hits CD available at timelessmusic.com, CCM, Time Life, etc.

Ed Bishop Incredibly, I'm still here

This one just came to me:

    Buddy Starcher: History Repeats Itself

1966; made the Hot 100, I think, maybe even Top 40; did big in C&W, IIRC.

    Now very obscure.

Does anyone know if it is the original?

Mikey knows it's the original as he has the set.

Larry, to add more Tex Williams to your collection, I do recommend his ASV CD, "That's What I Like About The West" for many of his hits from the 40s that haven't even been issued on any domestic CD, plus some that have been issued domestically on CD.

I believe that was recorded not far from Cincinnati, in Florence, KY.

    Ed,

Do you have the CD called "Sixties Rule! chapter two" on MCA Special Products/One Way(MCAD-22035)? It came out in 1991. The Starcher song is there in MONO.

One song on this disc, that I was blown away with, was THE MOUSE by Soupy Sales, which is one of my favorite childhood songs that I'd been searching for earnestly! Oh yeah, in STEREO too...

...not that you'd be interested in any STEREO tracks (anymore). Wink, wink;)

Bradley, how could I forget... with "Country Music Maven" under your handle and a picture Lecil Travis Martin AKA Boxcar Willie as your avatar... not to mention your vast knowledge of Country & Western music.
