I still hope one day for a Tom Waits Christmas album with that tune.

David Bowie with his version of 'Alabama Song'. I listened to it once then vowed come hell or high water I would never allow myself to be tortured by it again. Why David? Why?

W.A.S.P. covering "The Real Me" on The Headless Children album. It's a good enough cover, but I'm not fond of it's location as the 2nd track on the album.

I do enjoy his American Recordings albums, but I feel that they went back to the "listen to elderly Johnny Cash sing contemporary rock/pop songs" cupboard a few too many times.

The Bangles' Hazy Shade of Winter is great. Gives a new take on the original.

I kinda like that one. Their original stuff on the rest of the album has more conviction, though.

Most AI covers? However, I got goosebumps from Madison’s cover this year of, Your Song.

Literally the first thing I thought of. No one else has added anything to this tune. It’s been covered so much that it’s lost it’s luster entirely for me.

Let’s not forget John Cale, which most covers (including Buckley’s) is based off of.

I can think of no good reason for John Mellencap covering Van Morrison's Wild Night. It sounds exactly the same.

That always felt like record company pressure to me. The video is fun though.

Peggy Sue and the single version of Cotton Fields are fantastic. Rock And Roll Music is OK. I don't like anything by Chuck Berry except My-Ding-A-Ling.

I once told some people at work Celine covered this song. They did not believe me so I sent them the video. They regretted not believing me.

  24. An interesting arrangement of the song but hardly essential IMHO.

Roxy Music's version of "Eight Miles High".

Virtually any cover from the Great American Songbook by rock artists. They’ve all been done to death. Rock acts add nothing to them. Really, no one does at this point.
