Does anyone have intel on these Coltrane Prestige lps? Presuming the masterings are same as those in the recent 1958 box.

What’s the difference between this site and UDiscover? They both look like Universal-owned stores.

 

Universal (aka UDiscover) is the distributor. Craft Records is the subsidiary that manages the "heritage artists" for Concord Music.

Bought a couple records from Craft November 23 and I am still waiting, Finally emailed them, they acknowledged that its taking a while, but nothing they could do. Very frustrating.

 

This is why I asked about their relationship with Universal. Given all the shipping issues referenced in the uDiscover thread (as well as my own experience), I'd personally be leery of ordering from Craft.

 

Yeah, normally I'm with you - not a fan of Universal's shipping or customer service. 30% off a $120 box set that's not available on other sites is enough for me to hold my nose this time around.

 

thats what ive been saying since my 4 separate November 2 orders from UDiscover, crazy good deals but almost 2 later nothing has shipped, even for orders whete everything was in stock at time of purchase...

 

For some reason that site won't open properly for me (Chrome/7). I see the photos but no prices or buy now buttons.

 

Can anyone tell me about the provenance and/or quality of the Coltrane and Miles Davis lps they are offering?
