Here is mine, interested in seeing yours.

    Side 1:
    1. Space Oddity (where it all started to develop)
    2. Changes (lyrically important for his view of being an artist)
    3. Life On Mars? (no words needed)
    4. Starman (the legend)
    5. Rebel Rebel (a last glam-hit)

    Side 2:
    1. Sweet Thing/Candidate/Sweet Thing (Reprise) (a mini-opera and a new perspective on his music)
    2. Fame (his first U.S. No. 1)
    3. Station To Station (a magnum opus and a new sound)

    1. Sound And Vision (Berlin and the instrumental parts getting more space)
    2. “Heroes” (no words needed)
    3. Ashes To Ashes (the legend of Major Tom, part 2)
    4. Let’s Dance (a game-changer for him)

    1. Absolute Beginners (the crowning mid-eighties achievement)
    2. I’m Afraid Of Americans (representing the Nineties)
    3. Where Are We Now (the big comeback)
    4. Blackstar (the last big opus)

Many big favourites, especially from the later era, left out. However, not looking at ‘hits’ here. Focusing on artistic development and highlights of his carrer.

Well, "his wideness and artistic diversement" - I expected someting like

    Rubber Band
    Letter to Hermione
    Black Country Rock
    Lady Grinning Soul
    Moss Garden
    Red Money
    Magic Dance

    ...

I'd drop Space Oddity from the starting lineup, and add a Tin Machine song after "I'm Afraid of Americans"... but that's just me.

    Great idea and list!
I'm still working on the 80 minute limit, but I would make a couple changes:

    Add
    - The Man Who Sold The World (early classic, made famous by Nirvana)
    - Ziggy Stardust (essential because of the name)
    - Young Americans (soul era)
    - Golden Years (disco)
    - Jump The Say (7", for 90's pop)

    Remove:
    - Sweet Thing (reason for inclusion is already present in StS)
    - Fame (replaced by Young Americans)
    - Absolute Beginners (not that great, replaced by Jump They Say)

    Edit:
    - Let's Dance (7" version)
    - I'm Afraid of Americans (7" version)
