You'll find plenty of Creedence devotees here. I've been listening to them since I was six.

I love Morrison Hotel - oops, wrong thread.

Green River is my favorite album of theirs. You gotta hear the SH mastered version.

Well, they were certainly one of the best anyhow. And after seeing Fogerty at a small club a couple weeks I like them even more.

I have always considered CCR to be America's Beatles. All those hits? Just amazing!

I know, I know, "Beach Boys" because of the harmonies. But Creedence could rock when they wanted to, and that swings my vote their way

I love to delve in the album tracks. Singles such as Green River, Commotion, Who'll Stop the Rain and Proud Mary are well known and respected.

But I really am digging Ramble Tamble! Man that track smokes!

YES! Ramble Tamble.. CCR's "I Want You (She's So Heavy)". Didn't that track open Cosmo's Factory?

    Yes it does.

CCR is one of those bands that doesn't age. The more CCR you listen to, the better you feel.

They are my favorite from the 60's-70's for sure. The Byrds are not far behind.

I saw them 3 days after the Stones in 69. Damn if they did not blow the Stones away. My only problem is they only seem to have one set list for most of the concerts i saw them.. I was hoping for more of a streach out in concert.

I was in a local vinyl shop yesterday buying Every Picture Tells A Story (the Gilbert Kong version) and the guy (about 20) was playing Born on the Bayou on vinyl. I remarked I felt I was in a time warp and he replied that he would have loved to have been around when this music was made (of course I didn't admit that I was).

    MY ALL-TIME FAVOURITE BAND!

I've always liked that one too.

But my favorite CCR album track is "Don't Look Now." If you weren't around in that time frame, you won't know how much guts it took for Fogarty to have said what he did in that song.

Back then, most of those of the hippie persuasion were disdainful of the working class as ignorant, ill-informed slobs. Fogarty rightfully pointed out to us that our life of relative ease and privilege was built on their backs.

    Saw CCR in '69, too

I caught them at the Sportspalatz in Berlin; super show.

Opening act was Wilbert Harrison, a great one-man-band that almost no one remembers.

Does anyone besides me have a hard time understanding all of the lyrics? To this day, I still don't know what he's singing in Ramble Tamble, Green River, Down On the Corner, Effigy, etc... they all of that Sun-like echo thing going on and it makes it very difficult to understand, at least for me. Not having a lyric sheet doesn't help either. Of course this doesn't stop me from singing along....

Creedence is the meat and potatoes of American Rock N Roll, very consistent.

They are so universal and cross many genres and generations and very different from a lot of the 60's bands because they more straight roots rock.

I love CCR. In fact, it was Steve's CCR that brought me to this forum.

I will never get tired of them. My son has been a John Fogerty/CCR fan for quite a few months. I have heard the same CCR songs over and over and over and over....but I still love them.

They are my favorite band, so I must agree that they are the best band that came out of America.
