The Kid Brother is a must. Seems like it's been a couple of years since they released a Lloyd.

I often wish that Criterion would release more silent titles.

Detour should be interesting for me - in Austria, we only have an old DVD of it, unrestored and no extras, so this should be a welcome import.

I do wish Criterion would release "Until the End of the World" by Wim Wenders - the german DVD set is next to impossible to find nowadays, as are the english and french releases. If Criterion would release the content found on the german set (theatrical + director's cut and lots of bonus stuff), I'd definitely jump aboard!

Was I the only one bothered that Zemeckis went with "I Wanna" instead of 'I Want To"? The Beatles weren't the Ramones, dagnabbit, they used english good!

But, no. Nothing here on which I'm interested in spending money. Dull month.

Knowing this forum, you'd probably get a lot more thread views if you put the Beatles-related film in the title.

A Criterion release of the uncut version has long been expected. TCM has aired a new HD transfer of it a couple of times in the recent past, and a couple of years prior to that it had a limited theatrical release in the US, so it's presumably only a matter of time until Criterion gets around to releasing it.

The Kid Brother is Harold Lloyd's masterpiece, IMHO. Saw the nice HD stream on Filmstruck (RIP) that improved greatly over my DVD copy from "The Harold Lloyd Comedy Collection" and have been hoping this would show up on disc ever since.:goodie:

It was astounding that they got all these songs for the price they did, I can't imagine what it would have cost to use the title of one of them for the movie.

i first saw ‘detour’ at the toronto international film festival .... there was a program where famous directors were asked to each choose a film they wished to screen for the public. and so i watched errol morris introduce this classic, and hilarious, noir.

ive been chasing the best versions on home video ever since, so this is great news!! where would we be without criterion??? lol
