Paul Talks to Astronaut Luca Parmitano "I said to everyone when I was coming in to work today that I better not be late because I had to talk to an Italian Astronaut in space. People couldn't believe me! So I've got a story too!” — Paul"
The Number Ones: Wings’ “With A Little Luck” A (fair) and critical observation on 'With A Little Luck' by Stereogum's Tom Breihan in his 'Billboard Number Ones' series. But where it really gets cool, is the opposite reaction in the comment section: The Number Ones: Wings’ “With A Little Luck”
Sir Paul McCartney has revealed he once recorded a secret Christmas album "just for the family" that "gets brought out each year" at the McCartney household. "Years ago I thought, there's not very good Christmas records," he told BBC Radio 4's World at One programme. "So I actually went into my studio over a couple of years and I made one." Sir Paul said he would never release the demo of traditional Christmas carol instrumentals, despite it being popular with his children and grandchildren. "The kids like it," he told Sarah Montague. "It's something they've heard through the years, you know, and now it's the grandkids getting indoctrinated with my carols record." McCartney unwraps his 'secret' Christmas album
Paul McCartney once joined Paul Weller and Noel Gallagher to cover The Beatles' 'Come Together' "It’s hard to think of a better British rock triumvirate as The Jam’s Paul Weller, Oasis’ Noel Gallagher being joined by The Beatles’ Sir Paul McCartney. But in 1995 that’s exactly what happened as they got together to cover the Fab Four’s ‘Come Together’."
Ronald Isley talks Kendrick, McCartney and ‘Shout’ before St. Pete show "We went to the Hamptons to do a show, and we were there with Paul McCartney, Bon Jovi and Usher, just a lot of people, and we went on stage and did Shout and Twist and Shout with Paul McCartney, and guys had tears in their eyes. It was just fantastic."
Ehh... they're publishing this note without blocking out the phone numbers..? Seems like some kind of breach of protocol if you ask me....
It does look like it was fun! While watching/listening to a recording, it seems about 3 times as long as it needs to be, but I'm sure being there for it live would be one of those times wishing it could go on forever...
Come and Get It A nice Evolution Documentary (no official) about the Come and Get It song by the Iveys / Badfinger:
Is this mix available for purchase anywhere? It's quite different from the one that was a bonus track on Back to the Egg.
NEW SPECULATIVE GRAPHIC NOVEL EXPLORES A WORLD ABSENT A DIFFERENT BEATLE IN—PAUL IS DEAD—OUT THIS APRIL | Image Comics "Set in London, November 1966, this new graphic novel retells the most popular conspiracy theory in music history and, in a sense, showcases the very first “fake news” of the entertainment world. John Lennon can’t speak, he can’t take his eyes off a photo of a car in flames with the body of Paul McCartney inside. His friend is no longer there, and that means the Beatles are no longer there, either. But John wants to know the truth, and with George and Ringo, he starts to re-examine the final hours in Paul’s life. "
I like the subtitle: "When The Beatles Lost McCartney". Yes, they accidentally left Paul in the Philippines with the Marcos ... By the way: Who is that behind John on the cover? Is it supposed to be George?
