Well, now I'll think of Daredevil as a really good 39 episode mini-series.

Things are a little murky. I also thought Netflix did the cancelling, but I'm now hearing that it might in fact have been Marvel that cut it...

I can definitely see Daredevil as a movie.
Marvel said that he's returning so it's either that or a new season

And actor Vincent D'Onofrio has put out a plea for fans to lobby for the show's reinstatement...

I think it's such a great show, it's almost impossible for Disney/Marvel not to bring it back on their own streaming service at the end of the year, or whenever the contract is up.

I think it would be easier to incorporate the Kingpin/D'Onofrio into the Marvel Cinematic universe than Daredevil! I read that the plan is to use DD elsewhere. Wouldn't surprise me in the slightest to see the Kingpin pop up somewhere before DD ever does!

D’Onofrio’s “fight” scenes were terrible. Yet, he made a good King Pin.

I think there’s almost a zero chance this gets resurrected on the Disney platform. Less than zero on Netflix.

Strange. It occurred to me that the Kingpin was originally Spiderman's enemy. Somehow, it seems difficult to envision this Kingpin interacting with the current Spiderman!;)

Funny, because I remember Kingpin (King Pin) as a Spider-Man foe also. Where did he appear first? My guess would be Daredevil given his presence in the, now, cancelled tv series.

Edit: Spider-Man first (issue #50) and later Daredevil.

    The more you know ...

I think it's too good a show NOT to resurrect on Disney+.

I agree, but let’s be realistic, what are the chances ?

It can be resurrected on Hulu as well. Doesn’t Disney own Hulu?

I'd say 75% for, but I'm not a Disney insider and I don't make the decisions.

Yeah, Kingpin started out as a Spider-Man protagonist in the mid 60's then when writer/artist Frank Miller took over the Daredevil comic in the early 80's, he made the Kingpin Daredevil's chief adversary and gave the character a much more complex and defined persona that's been the primary source of inspiration for the movie and Netflix series characters.

Re-watching Season 3 on DVD. I like all three seasons equally.

Just realized watching this time that Melvin Potter, the parolee who made the Daredevil suits, is in the comic universe. . . the Gladiator.

I think the Kingpin became DD's enemy primarily because he had better writers. Kingpin was just another, frankly, b-list Spiderman mob boss character, he's had a few. In Daredevil, the writers, Mckensie and later Miller, made him into the a-lister who steals tv shows!;)

Season 2 was a bit of a step down for me but season 3 brought back the goods. This was easily my favorite of the Netflix Marvel series’ that I’ve watched.
