I guess it's down to perceptions. They are definitely different eras to me but far be it for me to push my perception of these things onto other people.

Also calling BS on not remixing “After All” because it’s “perfect as is” , where they clearly just don’t have the master tapes. In my view the entire original album is “perfect as is”. Anyone else sick of the white lies and condescension? Reminds one of the “loss of energy” explanation all over again.

I had the 'kick' sleeve first too, but it was after the 1990 reissue came out with the dress cover.

I really like the look of the RCA Space Oddity and MWSTW reissues. Great photos and lettering and the lyric inner sleeves are well designed too. Even better if they still have the posters included.

I know Sear likes the Space Oddity one.

Very strange how half of them were lost, but now they’re found again, remixed and fit perfectly in with the release schedule - very odd indeed!

I suppose we’re lucky he’d didn’t say - I’ve never liked After All’s place on the album, so I’ve left it off.

I really enjoyed the Space Oddity remix, and TMWSTW is one of my favorite Bowie albums, so I'm looking forward to hearing this version (even if i'll probably just stream it).

I'll stream it first. If I really like this new mix, then I'll put it on my "to buy" list....but not on the top...

It was the USA original, I believe.

the blurb on the previous pages says it's "artwork based on original title & design" done "by Mike Weller who was behind the originally intended album." whatever it is it's horrible and looks like a mock-up for a Zappa bootleg.

It was Bowie's first choice initially.

Not sure how this could improve on a 70's vinyl press in terms of both the mix and the mastering,

I heard one such press played in a record shop recently (sorry, couldn't tell you which pressing it was that was playing), and it sounded really punchy.

So maybe I'll hunt down an original rather than this remix, which could be hit or miss.

The kick cover despite being a little wrong date wise has always been my favourite version, and fits the music the most I feel.

Yes. Actually I like the cover more than the album itself!

About TMWSTW, my cover of choice is the "dress" one. By far!

Good decision to change the title. The Man Who Sold The World is such a good one. To me his best ever including his songs aswell.

Either the dress or the kick cover is cool. This artwork is a total “what were they thinking” disaster.

Every cover from Hunky Dory through Heroes recognized that Bowie was one of the most photogenic rock stars of all time, and took advantage of that, yet here we have a cartoon that looks like it was drawn by a drunk eight-year-old.
