David Crosby is on a musical roll.

He is very motivated for both a CSNY reunion and a Byrds reunion. ( he was a member of both bands).

Both have said: “No, thank you”.

This should not stop him from forming a band of peers and/or near peers to tour with.
His versatility and musical voice creates many possibilities. Sure I didn’t include purely drummers or bassists, but if he could join up with 1 or 2 or 3 or more below, they’ll fill out the band as needed.

David, just look to the recent Stills- Collins collaboration for guidance.

So, pick as many as you like from below - including OTHER - and please name your choice.
Help a David form a band!

I voted for Don Henley because I don't like him, either.

No one's ego can fit in the same room as Crosby. He's better off solo or hiring a group of kids who do what he orders.

None of the above. I think the Croz should team up with Tye Lenn Awl and his brother Jarrett. Maybe see if Ben E. Fiber wants in. Sorry to say, I believe Ben Gay has retired.

He doesn't need a group of famous peers. His current group, the Lighthouse Band, is wonderful. Three young musicians-Becca Stevens, Michelle Willis and Michael League-have proven to be wonderful collaborators for him.

The four records he has made since 2014 are all stunning. He's doing just fine without reunions with old groups. I think he's just feeling a bit nostalgic as he probably only has so many years left.

Agree with you, he doesn’t need anyone else from his past, as current collaborators are excellent, but he does seem to want some of his past to re-present himself to today’s fans and re-claim some of his past glory with his older fans and peers.

    Again, point well taken.

For those unfamiliar with the - Lighthouse Band , here they are with David singing a familiar song- Joni Mitchell’s “Woodstock “

Garfunkel leading the pack - maybe I should have included Paul Simon, based on below:

He could join Hootie and the Blowfish for their reunion. He sang on “Hold My Hand”.

Musicians don't need to be famous to play well. Why go to all this trouble?

It would be interesting to hear Crosby and Garfunkel, both trying to be the 2nd harmony voice...

I think those years David was unable to perform left him a little short of stardust and $ money. As others point out, he has a great gig going, now.

But- some of these groupings could be fascinating. (Or a shambles). LOL

Well - who is he buddies with? From that list I know Jackson Browne is (or at least was) and not on that list Phil Collins who apparently paid for Croz's liver transplant in the mid 90s.

I guess we are looking to form a band without a bass player and with Henley on drums?

This. Crosby loves playing with these younger musicians. He says so often on Twitter.

I don’t think his interest in playing with his old bandmates extends beyond a desire to mend fences, and to make a ton of money (not that he suggested that).

Naw, as stated in post#1; the group members will select the bass player and drummer - though posters are welcome to nominate such. LOL
