The rumors are real: The long, long, long-awaited Deadwood movie is really, truly in development at HBO.
HBO confirms 'Deadwood' may live again
No less a source than the network’s programming president Michael Lombardo said “it’s going to happen,” TV Line reported at the Television Critics Association’s press tour party in Pasadena on Thursday. Creator David Milch has apparently pitched a story for the profanity filled and critically acclaimed cult-favorite Western’s reunion.
Any major characters (the actors/actresses) dead since the show ended?
About f time.
Hope it's true!
Good news. I hope this happens.
and hopefully they will end it properly this time!
I just saw this thread. My first thought when I did was...****ing ****sucker.
I loved this show.
so......I guess it didn't happen? Im in the midst of a rewatch. maybe my favorite hbo show
It's not over yet. Between David's deliberate writing process and the availability of the actors, it could take a little while.
I've been putting off a series re-watch until the new thing comes out lest I need to rewatch it all again in 5 years time.....
Coincidentally, I also re-visited the 1st season this past week. Beyond the fact that I'm a huge Milch fan, this show is simply as good as it gets, it's so good!
I'm sure it will be worth the wait!
That reminds me, I remember reading something about how he often changes up tons of stuff during actual shooting of his shows and that makes his actors crazy. Or am I confused?
by the time this actually happens, mcshane will look like the beaten version of swearengen in season 2.
isn't ian 20 years older than the real swearengen when he died? (although he still looks pretty good based on GOT appearance) but yeah, they need to get it moving!
Well this is promising! An HBO Movie?
Deadwood Actor W. Earl Brown Praises Revival Script
At least there's a script
Wow, reading that, I see that Milch is now involved with the next season of True Detective. I didn't know that...
I'll believe it when I see it. This has been talked about for 15 years and nada. Chinese Democracy.
yeah, if they don't do something like NOW, no one will care. this ain't twin peaks.
Are we suckers to hold out for show to be revitalised?
The Chinese guy said it best.
well it would be cool if it ever happens...in the meantime I'm going to watch the entire F'n series again after Amazon just lowered the price to $29.99 for the BR!
