Picked up a few 3.99 Ace/Kent comps from the lower depths of the bin, and Ashley Hutchings' "Midwinter Miscellany" Christmas album (hey, it's never too early). Opeth Blackwater Park [Import] on DeepDiscount $13.18. Like an idiot I had always overlooked this band, believing for some reason that they were some sort of nu-metal crap. I couldn't have been more wrong as this album is right up my alley. Pretty incredible prog metal with the occasional death metal influences showing through. I'm going to really enjoy spinning this one if it doesn't get cancelled.

Placed an order yesterday morning for Opeth, Toots, and Beefheart LPs, was a little concerned cause a few hours later I went back and clicked through and first the Toots LP was listed as "Unavailable" and then a little while later, the same happened to the Beefheart LP. Just got shipping confirmation for all three, so maybe they're getting a little better with updating the inventory/site in real time? Probably not, but we can hope lol

I grabbed the Tom Jones one. Need another box set like I need a hole in the head (I have stacks, I’m guessing 35+, of unopened ones sitting here LOL) but at that price I just cannot resist.
I almost did. Removed it just before purchase. I figure including it would definitely mean I would get hit up for duty and taxes too.
Luckily I’m 10 minutes from the border, I had it shipped to a US address. During the pandemic when picking up parcels in Washington wasn’t an option I got whacked a few times for duties.
Yeah. I don't have that luxury. I try and split them up so each order is under US$50, but even then some get caught. Shipping to Canada also went up during the pandemic, but DD still has the cheapest shipping of anyone else I can think of to Canada.
I got hit for $30 by DHL on 6 items (11 LPs total). Upside is I ordered Sunday and got my stuff today.
