Unless their sound is that pristine live, the whole damn performance sounds canned.

I wouldn't be surprised if they were piping in extra backing vocals, or even rhythm tracks, but... woah.

hey, it's not easy for them to sound as terrible as they did 30 years ago.

The guitars are live but Joe isn't. Yikes!
Don't know about the drums but they seem to be live.

Def Leppard played live in the old days, they now use large amounts of, umm, enhancements.

Don't really care for anything that they have done since Steve Clark's passing anyway, but I really despise using tapes or stuff like that when supposedly playing live. Pretty sad if they do.

There's times that I wish Vince Neil or David Lee Roth would do this. I would hate it from a purist standpoint but a vocal abomination is no fun to listen to either.

He's almost 60 so I could care less. My god, he's been singing these type of rough vocal songs for almost 40 years. If you would have told me when I was 13 in 1983, while watching Leppard Mtv videos and cranking Pyromania that the band everyone told me would fade, would still be touring successfully in 2016, even with some lip syncing I'd have taken it. I would have taken it if I knew they'd still be touring in 1995

As long as he sang on the albums up to Pyromania I'm good. :)

So...in the name of procrastination on my packing, I just looked up a few different videos of "Rock Of Ages" from this year, and they all match exactly. It's also pretty obvious that the vocal is lifted off the Mirror Ball live album from a few years ago. Oops.

This bums me out. Always been one of my favorite bands...we all get old, and those songs are absolute hell to sing, but that still doesn't make it okay to try to fool people like this.

Scam? The crowd is enjoying themselves. Who cares? That's like saying guys who take Viagra are a scam to their partner. Just enjoy the event and give an old guy a break. You haters sure love to hate.

to be fair, they were never that good of live band to begin with.
saw them once in the early 90's (Adrenalize tour) and it was meh~~ at best.
they made some classic albums in the 80's but the question has to be asked...how much of it was Mutt Lange rather than the band ??

They look like they are live to me. They are not dead in concert.

And yes, the Viagra analogy is spot on. If you want to hear live vocals from him or if your partner wants you to perform in bed without assistance, get a time machine and go back 30 year. Otherwise, enjoy what you got.

Not true. They were a killer live band in the High 'n' Dry days.
