Was the "Die Beatles" LP made from the "less echo" tape that Steve talked about about?

Or is that a different Hor Zu Lp?

Geez, why doesnt EMI use a digital copy of THIS tape when the remaster PPM? You know, in our Billboard thing, we should point this out.

 

Good question but as Steve's explained it was an "accidental" release to begin with.

This is absolutely the version that should be used for a new release on CD, but Steve mentioned in another thread that these tapes are labeled 'Do Not Use' and they follow orders. A real shame.

 

The CD-R that Mikey received was mastered from a -2 copy.
