Probably buy as many CDs as I have ever done (going back to 1990), partly due to higher disposable income, but also the internet (and forums like this) throwing up more information about things I might like. Enjoy my visits to Japan for some rare stuff. People do not scoff per se but perhaps unorthodox. In addition, I love technology: all CDs are ripped to FLAC, tagged, digitally filed and put into Sooloos/Roon (as well as backed up). Use Tidal for streaming new stuff sometimes ahead of buying (always want the physical product). One of the things I find interesting is that rare CDs (OOP SACD, DCC, Bowie RCA etc.) are really quite expensive despite run of the mill CDs going for peanuts. There are plenty of us weirdos around.
