Do You Have a Homemade Single Artist Compilation That You're Particularly Fond Of?

What single artist comp(s) have you created that you love, and are proud of? List the contents and the method and sources you used to create it.

As with the recent "Got A Homemade Comp You Are Proud Of", please respect, and do not criticize a another person's methods. What makes this thread different is that that the other one is for various artists comps.

The reason I thought of this is because I have been listening to an Olivia Newton-John Greatest Hits comp I created one decade ago. I was so happy with it that I made a custom CD jacket and CD-R label for it. It contains almost the entire first MCA greatest hits disc and second, plus one extra.

In those days, I had just gotten Sound Forge 5, and was messing around with the Wave Hammer. I was into trying to boost volume and learning how to use a compressor in mastering. So, I did use some gentle limiting, about three or four db, on this collection, but it still sounds great, quite transparent. Of course, I used the computer method, on an old professional grade sgi Pentium 3 tower with Windows 2000, a fantastic computer that still beats a lot of newer machines.

Olivia Newton-John's voice could melt stone, especially on her ballads like "I Honestly Love You" and "Something Better To Do". Every one of her hits are my favorites, and I could listen to them all day long!

The collection here was made to fit just under 80 minutes, and contains almost all of her hit singles from 1971-1985. I used all CD sources and the songs on my collection are all in sequence.

Sources a mix of CD's, LP's and 78's (whatever I could get my hands on that was best.) I've played this CD a lot.

 

Here's one that I must redo. I did this one around the same time I did the ONJ comp above.

I have recently acquired some more 45 versions, so I can replace the album cuts, insert all 45 versions, and make room for two more songs. I want to add the 45 versions of "Evil", "Keep Your Head To The Sky", "That's The Way Of the World" "Can't Hide Love", and "After The Love Is Gone", and add "Thinking Of You". I will also remove the interlude. But, I intend to keep the LP version of "Fantasy". I've just heard the 45 edit enough!
