Don McLean's American Pie LP Question

    Between the United Artists and Liberty Records LP's, which one is the one to get for the best sound?

    I know the UA pressings sound really good, but the surface noise has been terrible every time.....

    I have both a original UA and also a German Liberty pressing; the Liberty sounds way better than the UA. Of course, it is a German pressing, so that may have something to do with it. The UA sounds dense and murky to me.

    How does the Simply Vinyl pressing stack up to the UA and Liberty pressings?

    (I figure if I keep asking, sooner or later I'm going to get this answer from somebody) :)
