I'm hoping someone here can help with this question. I'm located in the USA and looking at a CD from a seller in Italy. When I find the item through the Ebay US site, there is a 40-euro shipping charge to the US--more than the CD itself. When I find the item on the Italian Ebay site, it says it ships free worldwide. In the drop down list, there is every country imaginable, Liberia, Canada, Russian Federation, etc. But no USA.

Is there some reason the USA would be excluded from this list other than the seller specifically excluding it? Is it really more expensive to ship from Italy to the USA but not to Canada, the Maldives, etc? I'm genuinely curious and I'd love to avoid the astonishingly high shipping charge.

And yes, I know it's always a roll of the dice buying stuff from Italy.

I've asked for this to go to the Marketplace Discussions forum. There are threads on ebay shipping there. Im not sure if any address your specific question, though

Look for Italian sellers and get an average price of a CD to the U.S.. 40 Euros has to be ridiculous.
