Elvis Costello: When I was Cruel

While I was purchasing some used vinyl today (see my post: Why I love Vinyl: Part 1) - they were playing some Elvis Costello that I was unfamiliar with. When I asked the shopkeeper what he was playing - he said it was a CD-R of some advance tracks from the forthcoming Elvis Costello CD downloaded from the net. Anyone hear any of this? It has been a long time since I was genuinely excited about a new release - and this one sounds like a flamethrower. I must have heard 7 or 8 tracks and every one was a winner.

 

I personally haven't heard it yet, but there was a very positive and enthusiastic review by someone with an advance copy over on the ICE board. I am definitely looking forward to it.
