Actually, this is the first time I see THE ALBUMS done in a great way.
I haven't got the money, but the idea itself are pretty cool.

It's only 60 CDs. Did you really think it would include everything?

Yes, I was hoping that they'd include Clambake and forget The Sun Sessions. And they did. My lucky day!! ;)

Released on RCA in 1976 before Elvis' death:

^^^The blurb in post #1 also says: "Features all of the albums Elvis recorded and RCA released in his lifetime".

No Sun and no "Burning Love"... oh well.

I guess we can start guessing about the rarities included.

Yes, "Burning Love" is definitely a rarity. I got to hand it to RCA...

I'd buy this if I hadn't already invested so much money into the FTD Classic Albums series.

And the recent 20 soundtrack album box.

Will buy this just to finally get "C'mon Everybody" on CD.

I thought an album collection was just released a couple of years ago?

You will get 9 of the 10 Sun sides on For LP Fans Only and A Date With Elvis. You will get 5 Sun tracks on the debut album. I am sure the rest of the Sun stuff will end up on disc 58.

Here are the missing lifetime albums:
    Camdens:
    Elvis' Christmas Album
    You'll Never Walk Alone
Hits From His Movies volume 1
Burning Love and Hits From His Movies volume 2
    Separate Ways

    then there are:
Elvis' Christmas Album LPM-1951 (reissue with new catalogue number and cover of the 1957 LOC-1035)
    Worldwide Gold Award Hits
Worldwide Gold Award Hits volume 2
    Legendary Performer volume 1
    Legendary Performer volume 2
Having Fun With Elvis On Stage (dialogue only)
    The Sun Sessions
    Pure Gold
    Welcome To My World

I guess they wanted to keep to 60 discs as March is the 60th anniversary of the release of his first album, and they wanted to avoid any redundancy within the package, which the inclusion of ALL 70 titles would have caused.

Up until this release, RCA/BMG/Sony has never issued every lifetime album title on CD. And the lifetime titles they have released have not been in print all at the same time.

The original artwork, inserts, bonus photos, label reproductions on the CD face and C'mon Everybody has rendered it a no-brainer pre-order decision for me. I am hoping they correct the mistakes and glitches found on The Complete Masters with this release.

I would assume that any songs specific to these budgets would be on the "Rarities" discs.

Give me a break, they're going to give us C'mon Everybody and bypass at least two singles that served as the main reason to by the respective albums

They can reissue this 10 years from now with the missing albums and make us buy it again.

I would think any "lost singles" would be included. (I HOPE)

If the hi-res releases are anything to go by, they will sound good. For LP Fans Only is the only disappointment.

I think this is great especially if you weren't able to buy the originals when they came out.

Pleased with the packaging. RCA have done a steller job. The European grey area is making sure of that. Seen a Elvis Presley CD box 15 albums( mini LPs, I think ) for 10.00. European copyright law up to 1963 now ( I believe ). Expect to see early Beatles albums materialising, .. arriving in the not so distant future.
