Not just familar, but essentially identical. But the key removal of "Sgt Pepper's Band" is the key omission.
I think the point is that @petdevaney also posted a no-Beatles Pepper cover on this thread three years ago... but the picture is gone now.... there's a hole in the photobucket, dear Liza, dear Liza....
Yes. I just now apologized to him for that. I never knew it had been posted in the "Alternate Beatles Thread" until just now. I simply noticed the photo online and liked it because I always felt the cover is more effective minus the band on the front. I had no idea someone else thought the same and had actually removed the group from the photo manually. I just assumed the pic was out there as part of the band's/Apple's collection, for alternate pics they had pondered using prior to release. I'd be happy to delete the one I posted. If I could...
No it's still there. Photobucket deleted all my photos but I reposted them all again later. (See January 14, 2018 on "The Beatles Fan Made Covers" thread.)
Since they closed down The Beatle Fan Made Covers I really haven't posted any of the new covers I made here on the SHF. I have a quite a few that I made since then so I will be posting them on this thread soon. I got to figure out where I left off.
Just a little note: that *German Historical Figure* didn’t appear on the final cover shot. He was placed aside on the day of the shoot
Swan Records actually paired "Sie Liebt Dich" with "I'll Get You" in a brazen effort to wring a few more golden eggs from the pre-Capitol goose. It scraped into the lower reaches of the charts before Capitol took legal action. (I think Swan had argued, without success, that their rights to release "She Loves You" also applied to the German version of the same song.) I believe the US release was a low-quality needledrop taken from the German single.
As I threatened... I mean promised, I have quite a few covers that I haven't posted on this site. I'll only post a couple at a time so nobody feels that I'm am overloading this thread with Beatle covers. I would've have posted it in "The Beatle Alternate Fan Made Covers" thread but for some reason that thread was closed down?!?! An alternate "HELP!" cover loosely based on the "Help! movie poster.
