Robin Williams and Billy Crystal showing up on Friends. They get the best cameos.

As a big fan of Sanford & Son, I was sad to hear of the recent passing of actor Charles Weldon, who guest-starred on the show in addition to playing many different roles both on the big screen and the small screen. He was also a founding member of the doo-wop group The Paradons and in his later years, had returned to performing music in addition to theater.
RIP Charles "Chuck" Weldon of The Paradons

BB King on Sanford & Son tops my list...

The producers gave BB 10 mins...

5 performing in a blues club & 5 hangin out with Fred @ home

#2 would be the beautiful & sexy (still) Raquel Welch on Mork & Mindy..

#3 Dylan on Dharma & Greg...Dylans facial expressions while Dharma was explaining how music should sound was hilarious

Hard to top these 3 IMO

Honorable mention : Tip O'Neil on Cheers

I remember the Doobie Brothers showing up on What's Happening? when I was a kid...
Howard Cosell on The Odd Couple (I think it's the second appearance when he goes easy on Oscar and Oscar, expecting the Full Cosell, starts throwing insults around).
Gary Oldman on Friends (a guy I wish would do more comedy...)

The oddest window cameo was Col. Klink. Not only was he a character from a show on another network (Hogan's Heroes) but he was from WWII, long before the time of Batman.

Many favorites, but the first one that sprang to mind is Wil Wheaton's recurring role on The Big Bang Theory.

Can't argue that the best may be the previously-mentioned Sammy Davis, Jr. on All in the Family. But the first one to come to mind and one of my favorites was from Cheers, not mentioned prior on this thread: George "Spanky" McFarland of Our Gang.
