Favorite silliest song ever

I have a childish streak that, by my age now, I doubt I'll ever grow out of. My youngest son (coming up to 15 and a big metal fan) and I just love singing along to any pirate metal songs by Alestorm, and especially this one, my personal favourite...

You might not find this silly unless you lived through this era, but you should hear it at least once anyway. Goes to another level when the singer goes falsetto near the conclusion.

Note: They were sued by the then-humorless Led Zeppelin. Ironic, don’tcha think?

 

I always thought the Streak was stupid...

 

I can remember when that song was on AM radio...it was crazy to be on a top 40 chart!

 

Seaside Rendezvous. Queen. I have good memories of listening to it with my big sister and us both laughing at how weird it was.

 

Those Dickie Goodman records from the 70’s like “Mr. Jaws”, etc. in which the interviewer received answers to his questions via popular song clips of the era

 

It’s co-written with Robyn Hitchcock, which is completely sensible.
