So many to choose from...Led Zeppelin IV, Sticky Fingers, Aqualung, RAM, Muswell Hilbillies, and my pick for the best of the bunch: Who's Next.

When I look at all the suggestions the first thought that jumps to mind is:
1971 was a very good year

^^yeah, so many great albums indeed. I'm tossing only two favourites by now:

Elton John - Madman Across The Water
Cat Stevens - Teaser And The Firecat

My all-time favourite is in the first page.

I think that’s the best year for UK music in the seventies.

But Roxy Music didn't come out until 1972.:)
My favorite UK album of 1971 would be Brain Capers by Mott The Hoople by a very wide margin. Only problem is it wasn't released here in the States until 1972, which is when I heard it.o_O

My least favorite of the Island albums. Even getting the recent box set didn't warm me to it.

The Prog Rockers are still poorly represented on here, methinks...

    Curved Air - Second Album
    King Crimson - Islands
Gentle Giant - Acquaring The Taste

Three great albums in my book.
