John Cale ( in his book)Early VU days, John said Lou rented a room ..then John put two and two together.:)
Potential movie bio pic keep his original songs for the soundtrack.

It's hard to identify a real high point in his life. Maybe his marriage to Laurie Anderson (finally finding happiness after years of troubled relationships), or a tearful reunion with John Cale to record Songs or Drella, or tearful reunion with John Cale, Sterl and Moe for the VU reunion, or not so tearful reunion with Doug at the NYC library.

Holding out for Bangs/Reed, a follow up to Frost/Nixon, though I'm not sure who Michael Sheen would play.

Loaded must have been the most costly VU album to produce. What was the recording bill?

    Final VU 1971-73 box set.
    Is it any good ?

    It's..... Interesting.

It's not terrible, and those guys are clearly enjoying themselves.

Still, the tracks with Mo win.

Also, its funny that Doug sings all the songs that he didn't sing on vinyl (fair enough), but none of the songs he did!

Box 4 CDS 51 tracks Japan release 2009, I believe. Don’t think I’ve seen it on my travels.

Doug Yule interview ( about 1 hr) from 2005 on YouTube is quite illuminating.

  13. The third album will always be my favourite, even though I love all 4 of them.

Yeah, Cale rejected Lou's advances but was a big moral support to him. They both provided something the other lacked (Lou: literary craft, streetsmarts, pop songwriting craft, Cale: European sensibility, classical/avant training and arrangement skills) and sired the bastard child of punk.

Well it was my first album I heard from them.
Guess VU&Nico is the cool one, or the arty indie 3Rd album. But ..Loaded always hits the sweet( nothin)spot with me.

#3 for me easily, but the debut is close. Really like the Nico tracks on the debut.
