Have been unaware of this one yet. Looks promising, so I'm putting it on my shopping list.... [IMG]

One of the best books about Film Noir I have read so far, is a German release:
Kino der Nacht - Hollywoods Schwarze Serie, written by Heinzlmeier, Menningen & Schulz, first published in 1985.

Strongly recommended to dedicated genre lovers fluent in German :agree:

My favourite, along with the Movie Book of Noir, which is, if course, a collection of pieces from various authors.

Here's a great book about the French Film Noir. I love how the cover shows off the Unholy Trinity...

Nice Marie Windsor picture. Please add text to posted images in the future for the benefit of people who may not be able to identify the image. More importantly, if the image link ever goes dead, readers will still have some context.

Yeah, I watched it recently too. She didn't seem very careful for a cop with people out to kill her.

+1 The Narrow Margin: Charles McGraw, Marie Windsor, and Richard Fleischer. Doesn't get any more Noir than that. I love anything Charles McGraw.

Just watched Sorry, Wrong Number (1948) for the first time, starring Barbara Stanwyck and Burt Lancaster. Good suspense and storyline, building up to the climactic final scene. Barbara Stanwyck played the panic stricken neurotic wonderfully. Enjoyed it a lot.

Please add text to posted images such as "Robert Siodmark's film of Ernest Hemingway's 'The Killers'" or "Edgar G. Ulmer's 'Detour'" for reasons detailed just a few posts above. That way if the image link ever goes dead, the post will still have some context.
