Loving this album as well. The prices on Discogs have seemed to come down again so I grabbed a copy of the regular pressing. Don't know if anyone mentioned it before but the album cover seems to be a homage to Ornette Coleman's Free Jazz both in font and text colors as well as the die cut sleeve with the artwork inside resembling the Jackson Pollock piece in the original.

Finally opened up my vinyl copy from Amazon...jaw dropping press!

Same label as David Bryne's solo/world stuff no?

Why can’t every LP sound like this?! It is dead quiet even when the music is basically silence. I heard two soft tics on side two but I haven’t cleaned it or anything yet.
Is it from RTI or I am mixing up something else?

I just read the whole thread and didn't see this answered, sorry if I missed it.

Is the 140g and 180g basically the same apart from weight?

I slept on this one, regretting not ordering on release. Anyone have recommendations on where to pre-order eventual repress?

I don't believe David Byrne is involved with Luaka Bop anymore.

That may be true. Made the statement based on what I remembered from a few years ago.

Bandcamp gives the artist a good cut and gives the customer a free FLAC downlo
    ad with the LP sold.

Especially on the first Friday of every month isn't it? On those days I think Bandcamp forfeits their cut as well so apart from shipping, all the money goes directly to the artist.

All money goes to the artist or their label, depending on their deal.
    Next one is this friday.

I keep coming back to this. I haven't fallen in love with an album like this since forever. Movement 6 is simply overwhelming, in tears every damn time.

Amazing album and excellent pressing. Fantastic job by Chris Bellman. I already loved the album listening to it on Bandcamp. Now, I think it's the best new album of 2021. On vinyl it's even better! The vinyl is dead silent and the jacket and album art are gorgeous.

Got the CD based on the recommendation of my 21-year-old son. Simply wonderful!

Spun my copy again this week, dead quiet and simply stunning throughout. What a seminal work.

I love this album so much, that it actually made me go out and get the two Floating Point LPs Elaenia and Crush. Although not exactly the same as the LP with Pharoah Sanders, they have a lot going for them as well and I really like them.

I have to be honest, I have given this a few spins (digitally) and just can't get into it!
I really want to like it and it ticks all the boxes for me, but unfortunately it just isn't doing it for me.
However I feel like I should pick up the vinyl release just in case I do see the light at some point ;-)

Just boring hipster crap. Sad to see a giant like Sanders “misplaced” in this kind of visionless productions. There is no passion here, only boredom. A phoney idea of music. And if I have to listen to some hipster jazz, then i prefer the deeper projects on interstellar anthem or the many combo’s of shabaka hutchings. Or go back to the real thing: Alice and John coltrane, art ensemble of Chicago, jewels of thougts of Sanders ....but in any way don’t spend your time and money on this project. Only empty hype.

I have been streaming it A LOT for the last month - love it.

Is there any known difference between the two vinyl pressings?

Thanks - I will look into it more than I did. I think I passed since it is only a 27 minute album and the price was reflective of something more.
