That may be one of the 2 good things they ever recorded. The other being "Urgent"

If they hadn’t written “I Don’t Want To Know What Love Is,” I highly doubt they’d have been asked to play “Blue Morning, Blue Day” or “Starrider” during the Macy’s parade in 2021, even if I personally prefer their earlier material.

I guess there are things that are worse than being a member of the 27 club

I don't think Mick Jones performs with them any more.

Mrs. Fullbug was excited to see them. I walked into the room and she was transfixed and excitedly said, "Foreigner's in the parade." She was part of that weird, non-musical demographic. . . she was a cheerleader and into all that stuff...Journey, REO, Styx, Foreigner.

I’m so sorry. I hope a moderator can get rid of my post and any comments.

    I’m just mortified

LOL, come to think of it, she did disappear during Thanksgiving 2014 for a few days. She said she was visiting friends in NYC!

If this somehow prompted 5,000 people across the country to buy their song online today-- that's more productive than selling nothing today.

I came downstairs after getting ready to head out to the MiL's house earlier and noticed the float and the music of what sounded like that gad-awful ballad that threw them into the stratosphere of no return.*

"There's gonna be a thread about this I bet..."

    * But seriously, they'd already sold out on 4 with "Waiting for a Girl Like You."

  22. Their debut album is excellent-easily a 9/10 album for me.

Foreigner had a strong 5 year run right out of the gate in 1977. Then they had a several year stall and then the big ballad. That was the last time I followed them. They can still entertain.

Actually Inside Information was among the first cds I ever bought. I guess I was just about the right age.
