    10 (1979, Blake Edwards)
Hollywood composer and goofball, Dudley Moore, goes through a mid-life crisis and becomes infatuated with a sexy, newly married woman.
This one was a big deal in '79, mostly due to the buxom, braided young Bo Derek. But it's comic, Dudley Moore's movie. Girlfriend (and wife of director, Edwards) Julie Andrews comes along for the ride.

Doc on the composer of The Planets, Gustav Holst. Not many around. Nice to find this one.

This is the link for Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers. I'm surprised to find it on Youtube.

For some reason some of the movies aren't posting, using the Media link. Anyway here's Dead Poet's Society with Robin Williams and other young actors.

I've yet to watch DPS, though I'm certainly aware of its high regard. Maybe it's time to finally watch it. (Not sure why you're not able to post vids though the links are cool. )Thanks. :)

Tunes of Glory (1960, Ronald Neame)
After World War II, a Highland Regiment's acting Commanding Officer, who rose from the ranks, is replaced by a peace-time Oxford-educated Commanding Officer, leading to a dramatic conflict between the two.
Another classic I've been meaning to watch. Script was nominated for an Oscar. Alec Guiness is always interesting (nominated as well). Good copy above.

    Emma Mae (1976, Jamaa Fanaka)
Hood classic filmed in Compton, Los Angeles. Country girl comes to the big city for a vacation with her extended family and gets exposed to the usual inner-city traps. Looks great.

I didn’t give this one it’s due. Turned out to be far better than I anticipated. The misogyny in all those so-called revolutionary organizations reflected what was/is rampant in society to this day.

Not a very great Stephen King made for TV series/movie, but I'd never seen it completely. It's pretty dated or I just lost interest, but if you're in the mood due to Halloween, it's up at YT.

I've seen Zodiac many times, and it works for me on several levels: crime story, human interest story, a scary historical and nostalgic examination of the past.

Italian-American widow Loretta accept a marriage proposal from her doltish boyfriend, Johnny, than she finds herself falling for his younger brother, Ronny. She tries to resist, but Ronny lost his hand in an accident he blames on his brother, and has no scruples about aggressively pursuing her while Johnny is out of the country. As Loretta falls deeper in love, she comes to learn that she's not the only one in her family with a secret romance. It's been a while since I've seen it, but enjoyed it at the time. Cast: Cher, Nicolas Cage, Vincent Gardenia, Olympia Dukakis, Danny Aiello, etc.

The life story of New Zealander Burt Munro, who spent years building a 1920 Indian motorcyclea bike which helped him set the land-speed world record at Utah's Bonneville Salt Flats in 1967. Anthony Hopkins is the main star here, but the others in the cast are good too.

Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? (1966, Mike Nichols)
A bitter middle-aged couple, her derisive of his lowly position at a New England college, ask a new colleague and his wife over for drinks, and use them to fuel anguish and emotional pain toward each other through a distressing night.
Been on an Edward Albee kick lately. Then this one popped up today. Looks good, too. Probably Albee's most famous play adaptation. And one of the best Liz Taylor & Richard Burton movies.
