I finally nabbed a "book" copy of HAVANA MOON, which matches the book versions I already have of STRIPPED and SWEET SUMMER SUN. (These are the four-disc versions of these releases, with one Blu-ray, one DVD and two CDs, bound in not-quite-LP sized hardcover book with photos from the event.) Did Eagle Rock do any other sets in this format? I much prefer it to the digipaks . . .
That and maybe the Honolulu show from the summer of 1966, which I have as a bootleg but which could certainly be improved with some professional audio mastering.
Slowhand At 70 is in this book format.Royal Albert Hall concert which is ok but nothing inspiring.Comes with an extra DVD with performances from Clapton at Royal Albert Hall down the years dating back to Cream.
I still strongly feel it shoulda been a 2 dvd set with Havana Moon being the main attraction and Ole Ole Ole being the bonus documentary
Any further rumours of what the next From The Vault release may be? I have heard a 1995 tour concert is rumoured.
Id welcome it but I doubt it. We are getting the Miami 94 PPV uncut and we got Totally Stripped recently so... Who knows though! Now Im just dying for them to give the 97 Bridges To Babylon dvd the uncut ppv treatment.
I have seen the original St Louis 97' DVD, if this is what you mean? Do you know what was cut from the original release?
Yeah, while I’m buying everything regardless, the 1990’s and beyond are well represented. Way overdue for more gems from the 1970/80’s era.
I know he has his detractors on here, but I definitely prefer Bob Clearmountain’s From The Vault mixes to the one on Voodoo Lounge Uncut.
I'd like the following: More 1972 Tour gigs from the vault. More 1973 gigs also. A deluxe 1978 Handsome Girls set legitimately released. 1989 Atlantic City gig 1990 Barcelona 1994 / 95 Voodoo Lounge gigs 1997 Bridges to Babylon Gigs 40 Licks gigs Light The Fuse deluxe edition
I am no audiophile, but to my ears Vodoo Lounge uncut features the worst sound from any other recent vault Rs release.
I’m sure the Mashering probably didn’t help things, either. (I didn’t buy it, but I assume the Masher did his stuff with the CDs, anyway)
