I'll tweet Mick, you should all do the same!! Let him know there is interest. We've got nothing to lose. I will also mention Brussels!

Both Brussels shows should be released in their entirety, as well as additional audio from ‘72.

Maybe there will be a DE of Goats Head Soup with additional 1973 concert audio.

Absolutely! I sent tweets out to Mick, Keith and Rolling Stones. Heck, maybe someone will see them, whoever monitors their accounts or they themselves..

The Maysles Brothers (RIP) supposedly have over 30 hours of Stones material in their vaults

    Bringing it all back home

Also there is a complete proshot video and audio of the Altamont concert which I doubt will ever see the light of day.

    "Gimme Shelter": The true story

From 1969 there are Several SB audio fragments including one from Bill Graham of the Oakland Liver show and several tracks from Detroit. We know Baltimore and MSG multitracks exist. Rumours that the WPB Florida show might also have been recorded.

There are crude radio broadcasts of two Paris 1970 concerts.

Many SB's from 1972, including a partial multitrack of one of the 1972 MSG shows that was rumoured to be planned for the aborted official live release.

SB's from Australia 1973 in circulation and rumours there are pro recordings from the Europe 73 tour

There is partial proshot video and SB of the 76 Knebworth concert floating around.

Several partial KBFH recordings of 1978 shows

Rumours that some collector has SB's for every 1981 US tour shows. A number of them released on bootleg already.

That is just off the top of my head so I think there is 1969 and 70's material out there but it just a matter of who owns it and would Jagger ever let it be released officially

I believe I recall reading the Stones also recorded 1971 shows in Brighton and Liverpool in addition to the rest of the London Roundhouse material.

Off the top of head soundboard recordings exist for Houston, Fort Worth, Pittsburgh, Philadephia and New York from 1972.

Aside from Brussels some 1973 soundboards exist for Wembley/London, Newcastle, Munich and Rotterdam as I recall.

Wouldn't these be multi-tracks for the aborted 72 live album instead of soundboard recordings?

Not all of them were scheduled for the aborted album. Some are just soundboard recordings and not recorded and used for the radio broadcasts and live album.

To those of you who are making attempts at letting Mick, Keith & the Stones organization know that we'd like to see these great Taylor Era shows be released, I just want to say thank you for doing so.

I wonder what the other Brown Sugar, Street Fighting Man & especially Midnight Rambler sound like?

    Nice list round up.
West Palm Beach was freezing and there were tuning problems, that said something of it was filmed.
Paris 70' is sadly not up to scratch for either show.
72' Pittsburgh is excellent but I have not heard a decent recording of the opening Brown Sugar.
Perth 73' is an obvious choice but do they have the final songs?

  13. I have always wondered, knowing there was quite a bit left shot of "Gimme Shelter", why so little of it have been used on the ABKCO and Criterion reissues.

The video I have seen of Knebworth '76 is quite good.

Would love to see that released.

Yes I have that boot and it is an excellent mix of SB and very good audience recording. Knebworth was one of the Stones longest shows ever so would love to hear this from properly mixed multitracks if they exist.

Is there a reason they just can’t start cranking out these classic soundboard shows (once a month) like Springsteen is doing? Join nugs or something similar? Get these out to the fans who will really appreciate them before we’re friggin’ dead!

Mick is very picky about sound quality from what I have read but also none of them can be bothered to take the time go through the archives.

Maybe once they can't tour anymore? Could be their retirement $$$.

Or sadly one they pass their estates start releasing the stuff like many dead artists

You all know we're pushing 50 years of the Gimme Shelter film. If we want something old maybe any of those individual shows.
Tech question: Are soundboards recorded by the stones team or how are they recorded?

KinkySmallFace1991 It was great, so great...young and innocent days

Mick can’t be all that picky about SQ if he’s using Stephen “Masher” Marcussen to master the stuff.

The “not wanting to take the time to go through the archives” makes much more sense to me.
